Try hard, go fast

In many aspects Turbo has a few differences from the majority of numerous cartoons ever produced by the cinematic industry. It has a straightforward, even prosaic story, when the central characters defeat the evil and the villains get what they deserve. The plot naturally is build upon a life story of the protagonist – a small orange snail named Theo, who prefers to be called Turbo. And it is because he has a dream, which makes him much more than an ordinary snail. Amusing, charming and amiable hero instantly evokes compassion. He has incredibly bright eyes, in which one can see the determination and the ardor of a dream. In all his naiveté, he is incredibly touching and inconceivably inspiring. The humor of the movie is meant for little children, so there would be no vulgar jokes that are so often found in today’s animation. Turbo is a wonderful cartoon in all respects. It is seen already in the Turbo trailer. Childishly kind and naive, with an endearing character who is impossible not to sympathize with, with a proved story at the base, which contains a pleasant and invigorating message – Turbo trailer shows that the cartoon itself is going to be a perfect representation of a conventional animated movie. This is where the actual spirit of a classical animated movie lays – it should be simple, it should be straightforward, it should be heart-warming. All these features and many, many more are hidden behind a simple story about a quick snail. But we all know, what really is behind naïve cartoon characters with no life tragedies and a sonorous name Turbo. There hides a big story, a big drama, a big dream.

The Turbo trailer shows us a story of a little snail named Theo, who lives his dull life in a garden. Every day, after meaningless and boring hours of labor, he returns back home and watches human TV. He dreams of a great life he sees on the screen, he dreams to drive fast, like a real car. He believes and feels that he was born for something more, than his horrid routine. And one day, when he leaves his little garden, stepping beyond in a desperate search, his dream accidently come true. And now a big road of change, challenges, dreams and hope lies ahead.

From the Turbo trailer we find out a few postulates which are established in this movie. There is a big dream, and it shines like a glimpse of heaven for a desperate looser who has nothing, besides his dream. For the means of fulfilling this dream, a hopeless looser is willing to climb up the mountain Everest, to make the ocean fall apart and even to acquire hope. The major point of Turbo is that one should never surrender, even in the most desperate attempts to reach the desired, he should go on fighting even more frantically. If you have at least a grain of strength, it should be enough along with faith and the sense of purpose. The image of Turbo develops one of the most important messages an animated child movie should convey – keep on believing.

The Turbo trailer shows, that we are to see a stylish, modern animated film, with new values and new views, which dazzles with the lights of urbanization, fashion trends and carries and overall scent of the XXI century. But nevertheless, it preaches the most ancient ideals. Nevertheless, it teaches us, that you keep on believing, a dream that you wish will come true.
